Spicy Suya Grilled Cheese


1/2lb flank steak  2 slices sourdough bread
2 1/2 tbsp suya pepper 4 slices pepper jack cheese
1/2 tbsp olive oil butter


  1. Slice flank steak thinly, coat with olive oil, and then season generously with yaji spice
  2. Cook flank steak in a cast iron pan
  3. Butter one side of each slice of bread and place on a grill pan over low-medium heat
  4. Add a slice of pepper jack cheese to each slice of bread (to the non-buttered side)
  5. Add cooked suya on top of the cheese
  6. Shred the last 2 slices of cheese and top each side of suya with more pepper jack cheese
  7. Combine both sides of the sandwich and grill until the cheese is fully melted
